Apple plans to allow developers to offer discounts on application prices
Apple app developers will be given a new option to attract new
subscribers to their apps by tempting them with app price discounts when
they first join.
As you now know, developers can either make their application paid either by subscription or purchase, or free to download it from the store, but soon we may see the option to subscribe at a discounted price with the option of automatic payment to renew the subscription at a later price.
Apple will then offer developers a compromise between the free application and the full subscription, a first-time discount designed to encourage subscribers to subscribe and get a more affordable subscription to learn about the application, service and experience before sacrificing a fuller subscription fee.
Apple has recently made a significant change, reducing its subscription fee to 15% instead of 30% to encourage developers to adopt paid subscriptions instead of selling the application itself.
Apple may begin allowing developers this capability with iOS 11.2 update
