 Apple announced its new processor A11 Bionic last September along with iPhone X and the iPhone for the iPhone 8, usually offers the X version of the latest processors for the new iPad, so the A11X is expected to be introduced in the spring. According to industry sources, the processor will be Apple's first eight-core processor and will be built using a 7nm process for TSMC.
The new eight-core processor is expected to come with three powerful Monsoon nuclei and five effective Mistral nuclei. The processor is scheduled to ship in the first quarter of next year, at the expected launch time of the iPad 2018.

TSMC has been responsible for building Apple processors in recent years, making Apple choose to continue developing its processors. The A11X will pave the way for the 7nm A12 processor, which is scheduled to arrive in September 2018.
